Historical Standpipe Water Tower Gets a Facelift!
Posted on Friday October 16, 2020
Harper's Historical Standpipe Water Tower recently received a renovation.
The first step was to reinforce the towers base.  The old steel brace was removed followed by the sandblasting of all existing paint and residue.  Carbon Fiber strapping was then added to the base.  A fresh coat of paint was then applied.

Next on the list was a few safety upgrades that included a new vent and a safety ladder.  Old paint was removed from the tower's famous red top and fish weathervane.  A fresh coat of bright red paint was then applied!

We are thinking it looks pretty spiffy!!Tower 3Standpipe RenovationStandpipe Paint 2Standpipe Vent WorkStandpipe RenoStandpipe Paint 3Standpipe Completed
